China Sea in Soldotna

*update: Health hazard eating here yes it has been reported. You will get a food virus from eating here and it causes severe pain. it is just starting and im at a 9 out of 10 on the pain scale and im told it is only going to get worse.There customer service is by far the worst i have dealt with. The being disabled and the way they treated you was uncalled for. They unlocked a door so i could leave and that put me locked in the building they were in. Instead of escorting me out of there like the sign says they were supposed to they sat upstairs and laughed at the fact the door wouldnt woul. I tell the lady the door wont open and she just kept saying open the door. Its sad that a disabled person has to call the police to get out of the building because they didnt want to do there job and let me out. I will never go there again. The food was great but the people that work there have no consideration for there disabled customers.

I don't know why I go there but, when I do, the food is always old. They will make something fresh on request, but it's a very small amount, and it just feels weird having to ask a buffet to put out food that won't break your teeth, or turn to sawdust in your mouth/make you sick. They should just automatically do it. I feel like a health inspector needs to go in there. The high chairs are sticky, and the building shakes when someone is walking at a normal pace. 15 minutes after leaving my stomach is upset.The waitress was nice. She anticipated what our children would want to eat, and made sure to have the cooks make fresh as soon as we went in. When the food is fresh, it's tasty.

Ate here a few times. It is not a bad place but the variety is not that great especially when it comes to veggies. Better than 3 stars but not really 4.

The food was good and the staff was very friendly. Good place for hungry travelers.

I love the environment of the place, It has your basic assortment of Asian food (orange chicken, fried rice, broccoli beef) they do have some sushi rolls they put out that are pretty good. And has a cute little soft serve ice cream machine. Honestly a pretty decent place, worth the cash.

Ok for a quick bite, fair prices and good variety

This would be a great place, if they could just keep a reliable schedule. I’d blame their lack of business on the fact that the hours aren’t consistent. I know that today is the day before July 4th, but this is the third try in a row that I’ve attempted to go there. I also just checked their Facebook, their last post was on the 1st saying they were only going to be closed on the fourth. So sometime between that post and now two days later, they decided that today would be another spontaneous day off. I’d hate to work there. I can’t imagine they give their employees much better communication. Each time i go there I find a piece of paper taped to the window that says sorry for the inconvenience, we’re closed today. If you want more days off start closing three or four scheduled days a week. It will be much better for business, than to be closed random days all over the place.

Nastiest buffet. Don't trust the Other reviews. Food was old, at 11AM. Fruits were dry, not even Chinese workers. Sorry.

Amazing!!! Joo yung Kim is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet (owner) and he personally goes above and beyond to make sure things are stocked and fresh. The waitresses do a great job of clearing the plates and keeping your fountain drink filled without being to intrusive. Great environment also the layout allows plenty of seating without you feeling like you dont have at least a little bit of privacy. I can't say enough good things about this place. Pay 0 head to any negative reviews if there are any.....any non positive experiences are without a doubt user error.

Myself and 3 hungry boys loved this place. The food is not as salty as normal Chinese food. It was very good. Meats were tender. I was very happy that foods were covered when we showed up. This will be a tradition for us after fishing in the future. And very friendly service.

I was here years ago, and the food was outstanding. Was maybe the best Chinese buffet I've ever had.

Food was decent. Server didn't refill out drinks untill we asked said server to. Ice cream was the best

Based on the reviews, I was really looking forward to some good Chinese food. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor. Everything tasted like grease and the hot and sour soup had no spice. I didn't even stay to finish a plate.

I would give you a five but the older head waitress is always talking bad about white people

this place has really gone down.... I went in with a friend and they literally had Dino chicken nuggets and jello... true disappointment today.

Went for the buffet an hour and a half before it closed and they didn't refresh the food. Several items empty or cold. Bad Chinese food!

i loved this place as a kid. came back after so many years it has turned to crap but they have decent prices.

We ate there on January 16, 2016 and the food was top notch, fresh, moist and the service was awesome...

Good food good service but the buffet was out of many items.

Husband and I went and order soda then went to the buffet they literally had nothing. Everything was gone!!! The sushi was horrible!!!!! I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed in this place we will never go there again!!! We shouldn't have paid went to safeway and got good sushi!!!

Ate here for memorial day weekend. Now a Thai restaurant called “Pad Thai Cafe”. This was the best Thai fried rice we’ve had yet in Alaska. Just the right blend of flavors, spiciness(medium), and not too oily. Will definitely eat here again.
